Often described by researchers as a "little princess," Dali was born as the daughter of an alpha female in 2001. Although her group suffered much social upheaval during her first few years of life, Dali always coped admirably and has since become the alpha female of her group and a mother of four.

These monkeys are completely wild. The researchers and assistants documenting these monkeys do not attempt to interfere with their natural behaviors and the behaviors of the other animals they encounter.
